I got an email from my user and have the following comments about StartLogic service.
I would like to recommend you REMOVE Startlogic from you top web
hosting companies. Every time I have tried to contact their support I
have to wait for a minimum of a half hour before someone answers. It
clearly states on their site that they have 24/7 support either
through their site or by phone.
Even the “Live Chat” on their site doesn’t work.
On top of that, they did a server control panel update yesterday and
apparently didn’t beta test it at all because it disabled one of my
clients 2 web sites that were converted to the new system. Only a
support call (that I had to wait for) got them back up and running.
No other web host I’ve ever used has had these support issues.
By the way, in the email sent to my client stating that they have
upgraded to the new system, they told him that he should go through
his entire site and test every page to make sure it was working
properly. What provider would ask their CLIENT to do that? Not only
should my client not have to do that, but Startlogic should have
tested everything out first.
I give Startlogic 1 star. What’s the point of having 24/7 tech
support if no one is there to provide the support?
Looks like it is related to their recent control panel upgrade to vDeck 3.0. All old accounts are being copy to a new hosting platform. see http://www.startlogic.com/info/systemnotice.bml?id=5876

I would second the request to remove startlogic from your top 10 web hosting list. I just signed up for StartLogic and 1 day later my site is down, Ive been on hold for over an hour (twice) and I feel as though they are completely unreliable. I just hope I can transfer my domain to get out of there! If you are thinking about using StartLogic as a web host, DO NOT DO IT.

all e-mails crashed for 2 weeks;
new platform not processing HTML commands;
removed all WYSIWYG edit abilities;
Startlogic needs to fire some one’s ass over this!

WORST WEBHOSTING EVER!
I’ve been without my email for two weeks – they had some kind of ‘outage’ but their ‘engineers’ have yet to bring IMAP folders back online.
In addition, their 24×7 ‘support’ is an F*ing joke.
The minute I get my email back, I’m moving every single domain off of their servers.
STEER CLEAR!

I just noticed today (June 15, 2009) that my site isn’t “live!”
Moreover, I attempted to launch StartLogic’s official website, to contact their so-called technical support team, and it is DOWN!
Start Logic is a “mickey mouse” hosting service and should be penalized for their inability to provide the services as characterized on their web site!
(1) the communication skills of their technical support team are horrendous…
(2) their technical skills fall short of 16 year old high school student
I think we have a group of East Indians that are trying to get a piece of the American Pie, but doing it at an incompetent level…

Support people literally can’t speak English!
Have cost me thousands in ad revenue.
I’m an online news site. I live by my stats.
I ask a cleient to review them & they read 0 hits.
What can I do? I’m a news photog. not a geek!

at least one of startlogic’s web servers has been down today since just after noon mountain time, so 6 and a half hours and counting. initially I still had control panel access even thought the host did not respond (nor the ftp) but a few hours into it and i have been ‘blocked’ from control panel access.
