i) The small reseller stopped supporting without informing you - you may have difficulty renewing the domain when the domain expired and you can’t contact him to pay and renew it.

ii) The reseller no longer active and have LOCKED your domain. You will have problem transferring the domain out, renew, changing dns and etc.

iii) There are resellers who register customer’s domain using their own information without customer consent. It could be hassle to you when you are trying to transfer the domain out to other registrar.

However, there are pros when you purchase domain from small resellers, you will usually gets more personallise support the CEO, the business owner directly. :)
